Questions

Aptum at Wilson's, answered.

Who is the Aptum AP-2C-1 for?

Teenage and young riders. The 27.6-inch seat, 40.7-inch wheelbase and 165 lb rider limit are sized for a first real electric dirt bike rather than a shrunken adult machine.

How fast is it, and can the speed be limited?

Up to 28 mph. We set the speed for your rider's experience at handover and show you how to change it as they grow.

Can my rider see it before we buy?

Yes. The AP-2C-1 is on the floor at all six Wilson's shops in New York and California. Walk in, sit them on it next to the full-size machines, no appointment needed. Ask any Wilson's shop about availability. Models over 20 mph aren't sold or shipped to New York City addresses.

Where can it be ridden?

Private land and permitted off-road areas only. It is not a road vehicle. A helmet and protective gear are essential.

What happens when they outgrow it?

The next step on our floor is the Surron Light Bee X: five inches taller at the seat and rated for 265 lb. See both side by side at any shop.

What does Wilson's do before it leaves the shop?

We assemble it, check both hydraulic brakes and the suspension, set the speed for your rider and walk you both through safe riding. Afterwards, our technicians service it with parts on the shelf.
