Used, open box or refurbished: what you're buying
Every unit is sold as it is, with a tag from the shop that has it. We don't call anything refurbished: if a part was replaced, the report says which one. Pick a grade and see a real unit wearing it.
Like new Open box
Opened, demoed or returned, and barely ridden. Usually the box and most of the extras are still there.
Good Used
Ridden, with normal signs of use like scratches and scuffs, and everything working.
Fair Used
Clear wear and cosmetic damage, everything working, and priced for it.
What our technicians check on every used e-bike and electric scooter
Before a unit goes up, the technicians at the shop that has it go over it, part by part, and print what they find. Every unit gets a report like this one, and it's on the unit's page.

It is when you know exactly what you're getting. Every unit here has a shop's report and photos of any wear, you can see it in person first, and it's a model we sell new, so you can compare the price directly.
How much is a used electric scooter?
It depends on the model and its condition. Every unit shows its own Buy it now price next to what the same model costs new at Wilson's, so you can see the difference before you decide. The same goes for used e-bikes.
Do used e-bikes hold their value?
Compare any unit's price with what the same model costs new at Wilson's: both are shown on every card and every unit's page, so you can see how much it kept for yourself.
Where can I buy a used e-bike or electric scooter near me?
At any of our six shops: Flushing, Elmhurst, Brooklyn and Long Island City in New York City, and San Francisco and Corona in California. Each unit is listed at the shop that has it, and we can ship it to you.
What's the difference between open box and used?
Open box means opened, demoed or returned and barely ridden, usually with the box and extras. Used means ridden, with normal signs of use. Both are checked by our technicians and graded Like new, Good or Fair.
Are your used units refurbished?
No. We sell every unit as it is and tell you what we found on the shop's report. If a part was replaced, the report says which one.
Can I see it before I buy?
Yes. Walk into the shop named on the unit during opening hours and look it over before you buy or make an offer.
Is there a warranty on used and open-box units?
No. They're sold as is: all sales final, no warranty, no returns or exchanges. That's why every unit has a shop's report and you can see it in person first.
Can I make an offer on a used e-bike or electric scooter?
Yes, on units marked Takes offers. At our New York shops offers run 48 hours and the best offer wins; only the number of offers shows. At our California shops, an offer at or above the lowest the shop will take is accepted right away, and others get an answer within 2 hours during opening hours.
Is the price negotiable?
Units marked Takes offers are. Units without it are a fixed price: what you see is what you pay, already below what the same model costs new.
Do you ship used e-bikes and electric scooters?
Yes, to the lower 48 states; each unit's page shows whether shipping is free or what it costs, before you pay. Or pick it up at the shop that has it within 3 days of paying. Electric scooters over 20 mph or 100 lb, and e-bikes with a 750W-or-more motor or assist to 25 mph, aren't shipped to New York City addresses.
