How fast can the G4 go?

34 mph from a 1200W rear motor

The single rear motor keeps the G4 simple, efficient and quick — enough to move with urban traffic and handle 15° inclines. One driven wheel also means gentler, more predictable power delivery for riders stepping up from a basic commuter.

Rated top speed is 34 mph; rider weight, terrain and battery level move the real number.

How far does it really go?

25–31 miles, charged by dinner

The 60V 20Ah lithium pack covers a cross-town round trip with room to spare, and Nanrobot publishes the range as an honest band — 25 to 31 miles — rather than a single best-case number. Charging takes just 5–6 hours, among the quickest in our lineup.

A typical 5–10 mile daily commute means plugging in about twice a week.

Does it handle rough roads?

Suspension at both ends, air in both tires

Front and rear suspension work together with the 12” pneumatic tires to soak up potholes, expansion joints and gravel patches. Bigger wheels change the geometry of every bump — what a 10” wheel drops into, a 12” wheel rolls over.

The 3.0”-wide casing adds a broader contact patch for stability in turns.

Why hydraulic brakes?

Stops that don’t fade

Dual hydraulic discs out-stop mechanical brakes on two counts: more clamping force with less lever effort, and better heat dissipation on long descents. At 34 mph, that difference is measured in feet you didn’t need.

Hydraulics also self-adjust as pads wear — less maintenance between visits.

Is it safe at night?

Lit at four points, signals built in

A high-lumen headlight leads, with handlebar, side and rear lights completing the picture. Built-in turn signals let you tell traffic where you’re going without taking a hand off the bars — a feature that matters more every time you ride in the dark.

Aluminum built for daily duty — and it folds

The aerospace-grade aluminum frame carries up to 265 lbs and shrugs off the impacts of daily urban riding. At 63.93 lbs with a folding stem, the G4 is also one of the easiest machines in our range to live with — trunks, closets, office corners.

Nanrobot G4 FAQ

How fast is the Nanrobot G4?
Rated at 34 mph from its 1200W rear motor. Rider weight, hills and battery level affect what you’ll actually see on the display.
What range will I get per charge?
Nanrobot rates it at 25–31 miles depending on speed, weight and terrain. Ridden gently, expect the top of that band; ridden hard, the bottom.
Why do the 12-inch tires matter?
Diameter changes how a wheel meets an obstacle — a 12” wheel rolls over cracks and small curbs that a 10” wheel drops into. Combined with the 3”-wide casing, the G4 rides noticeably smoother and more stable than smaller-wheeled machines.
Is one motor enough?
For commuting, yes — 1200W covers 34 mph and 15° inclines, with smoother, more predictable delivery than dual-motor machines. If your route has serious hills, look at the dual-motor D4+MAX or D6+MAX instead.
How long does it take to charge?
5–6 hours from empty — one of the quickest charge times in our range. Plug in after work and it’s ready by dinner.
How heavy is it?
63.93 lbs — the lightest Nanrobot we carry, and it folds for trunks, closets and elevators.
Does it have turn signals?
Yes — built into the lighting system alongside the headlight, handlebar, side and rear lights, so you can signal without letting go of the bars.
Is it water resistant?
IP54 rated — light rain and damp roads are fine; standing water and pressure washing are not. And never charge a wet or swollen battery — bring it straight in to us.
What’s the weight limit?
265 lbs, on an aerospace-grade aluminum frame built for daily commuting.
