Most maintenance on an electric scooter or e-bike takes as little as 30 minutes, so you can wait for it. Bigger jobs get a time estimate along with the price, before any work starts. Express service runs at every Wilson's shop, and Miami is no exception.
Every system on your ride, mechanical and electrical. Here's what our technicians check when it comes in, and where the most common repairs start. Every price includes parts and labor; the final price depends on the model and the part, and you approve it before we start.

Range dropped, or it won't charge? We load-test the battery for capacity and discharge, then check the charger's output, the charging port and the wiring to the pack. A dead ride gets the same order: charger, port, battery voltage, then the power button and harness.
Spongy, squealing or weak? We check the pads, the disc and the clearance, and inspect the bearings while it's in. On hydraulic brakes we also check the fluid and bleed the line. Cables, levers, hoses and cutoff switches too.
Reading the code is part of the free inspection. The code points us at a system (motor, controller, throttle, brake cutoff or battery), and we trace the actual fault from there. Displays, lights and wiring harnesses as well.
Grinding, stuttering or cutting out? We check the hall sensors and phase wires first, then the bearings and the motor itself, hub or mid-drive. On e-bikes: chain, derailleur, cassette, crank, pedal assist and torque sensor.
Summer downpours and flooded streets push water into connectors, controllers and battery housings. We open the affected systems, clean out the corrosion, replace what's gone and reseal. After a crash or a pothole we check the frame, fork, stem, folding hinge and rims.
Swollen or wet battery? Don't charge it. Bring it straight in and we'll do a safety check first.
The same prices as at every Wilson's shop. Starting prices, parts and labor included; the final price depends on your model and part.

Many performance electric scooters are built for well over 20 mph, and those fall outside Florida's definition on public roads. Ask us in the shop which models fit Florida's definition for street riding.

We start with the charger, then the charging port and the battery voltage, then the power button, key switch and wiring harness. That order usually finds the fault fast. Looking it over is free, and a no-power repair starts at $35.
We check the likely causes in order: the battery's capacity under load, the charger's output, the charging port, then drag from the brakes, tires and motor. A battery load test with a health report is from $50, waived if your repair quote is over $100. If the battery is swollen or got wet, don't charge it; bring it straight in.
