The Hawk features a nimble 77 lb (35 kg) weight, two 1200W motors, sine-wave controllers, a 60V 22.5Ah battery built from high-capacity 21700 cells, ZOOM hydraulic brakes and 10-inch tubeless tires for better puncture resistance. Two rebound-adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers make the ride, and a steering dampener is included for stable, smooth handlebar control.

How fast does the YUME Hawk go?

How far does it go on a charge?

Up to 43 miles, tested with a 135 lb rider at 15.5 mph on flat roads. Faster riding, hills, cold weather and heavier riders shorten it.

How is the Hawk different from the Hawk Pro?

The Hawk is lighter at 77 lbs with two 1200W motors, a 60V 22.5Ah battery and 10 x 3.15 inch tires. The Hawk Pro steps up to two 3000W motors, a wider 27 x 9 inch deck, 4.5-inch-wide tires and a choice of 27Ah or Samsung 30Ah batteries. Ride both at any of our shops.

How heavy is it, and does it fold?

77 lbs (35 kg), and yes. Folded it measures about 51 x 28 x 24 inches, so it fits most car trunks and is manageable for one strong adult or an easy two-person lift.

Can it climb steep hills?

The manufacturer rates it for 35 to 37 degree inclines in dual-motor mode. Rider weight, charge and surface all affect it.

Is the suspension adjustable?

Yes. Both hydraulic shocks have fifteen damping levels, so you can run it firm for the street or soft for trails. A steering dampener is included for stable handlebar control.

Are the brakes hydraulic?

Yes. Front and rear ZOOM hydraulic disc brakes with 140 mm rotors and cooling-fin pads, backed by electronic braking. Our technicians service them in the shop.

Which throttle does it use?

Both a thumb-push and a trigger-pull throttle come in the box, and they swap in seconds on quick-release plugs. Both are in the box.

Is the Hawk waterproof?

The whole vehicle is rated IP54 and the motors are waterproof, so rain and wet roads are fine. Do not submerge it, and never charge a wet or swollen battery. Bring it straight in instead.

How does the NFC lock work?

Tap one of the two included NFC keys on the console to lock or unlock the Hawk. The YUME Ride app adds locking, ride status and battery life over Bluetooth.

How long does it take to charge?

About 6 hours using both included 2A chargers in the dual charging ports, roughly half the time of a single charger.

What is the maximum rider weight?

280 lbs (126 kg).

Does it have lights?

Yes: a headlight, two turn signals, a horn, deck lights and remote-controlled LED side lights with RGB ambient color.

Is it suitable for beginners?

It is the most approachable YUME, but still a 43 mph dual-motor electric scooter. Newer riders should start in the lowest of the three riding modes, set from the display.

Can I test ride it first, and is there a warranty?

Yes to both. Come to any of our shops and ride the Hawk before you decide. It is covered for one year on the brands we carry, handled in our shops by our own technicians.
