What age is the Hiboy DK1 for?

Is it a good beginner electric dirt bike?

Yes. Three adjustable speeds, a stable frame, a responsive disc brake and front and rear suspension make it a strong first electric dirt bike under adult supervision.

How fast does it go?

Three modes: Low at 5 mph, Medium at 7.5 mph and High at 15.5 mph. Parents pick the level for age, ability and where they are riding.

How far does it go on a charge?

Up to 13.7 miles in ideal conditions. Rider weight, terrain, mode and habits change it.

How long does it take to charge?

About 4 to 5 hours for the 36V 5.2Ah lithium battery.

Is it safe for children?

It is built for them: three speed modes, a front hydraulic fork and rear shock, a mechanical disc brake, a stable off-road frame and a battery display. Always supervise, and fit a certified helmet, gloves and knee and elbow pads.

How is it different from a ride-on toy?

How does it compare to the DK2?

The DK1 is faster (15.5 mph vs 13), goes farther (13.7 miles vs 11.2), adds a front hydraulic fork and fits ages 3 to 10 instead of 3 to 7. The DK2 adds engine sounds and lights and a 150 lb load rating. Sit them on both in the shop.

Can we try it first, and is there a warranty?

Yes to both. Bring your rider to any of our shops and let them sit on it. It is covered for one year on the brands we carry, handled in our shops by our own technicians.
