How fast does the Hiboy X300 go?
Up to 23 mph from the 500W rear hub motor with 700W peak. Smooth acceleration for commuting with power in hand for hills and longer rides.
What is the maximum range?
Up to 37.3 miles on a single charge in optimal conditions. Rider weight, terrain, mode, temperature and average speed all change it.
Can it climb steep hills?
Slopes of up to 25 degrees, which makes it one of the strongest commuters in the Hiboy range for city hills, bridges and inclines.
Is the battery removable?
Yes. The 48V 13.5Ah battery has a quick release, so you charge it indoors without bringing the e-scooter in. Ideal for apartments, offices and shared parking.
What battery cells does it use?
39 high-energy-density 21700 lithium-ion cells. Compared with 18650 cells they give more energy density, longer cycle life, better heat management and more consistent range.
What does the battery management system do?
It monitors battery health continuously and protects against overcharging, over-discharging, overheating and abnormal current, for performance, safety and longevity.
Is it waterproof?
It is rated IPX5, better than most commuters, so light rain and splashes are fine. Do not submerge it or ride through deep standing water, and never charge a wet or swollen battery. Bring it straight in instead.
Why 12-inch pneumatic tires?
Better shock absorption, more comfort, more traction, more stability at speed and smoother rolling over cracks and potholes than small-wheel commuters.
Does it have suspension?
Yes, a front suspension system that works with the big tires to absorb bumps and cut vibration.
What riding modes are there?
Energy-saving up to 13 mph, Drive up to 18 mph and Sport up to 23 mph, so you balance range and pace for the commute.
Does it have turn signals and an app?
Yes to both. Integrated LED turn signals with audible alerts, a headlight, a taillight and a loud bell. The Hiboy app switches modes, adjusts settings, controls lights and shows ride information.
What is the maximum rider weight?
265 lbs (120 kg), carried by a reinforced frame and a wide 9-inch deck.
Is it easy to fold and transport?
Yes. A quick folding mechanism gets it into a garage, office, apartment or trunk, and the removable battery lightens the lift.
What is the cup holder for?
Coffee. A stem-mounted holder keeps a drink secure on the commute, which sounds small until you have it.
Can I see it in a shop, and is there a warranty?
Yes to both. Ask any Wilson's shop about availability. Models over 20 mph aren't sold or shipped to New York City addresses. It is covered for one year on the brands we carry, handled in our shops by our own technicians.
