One rear motor, sized for the job

The GT4 drives from a single 1500W rated rear hub motor with a 2400W peak, run by a field-oriented 60V 40A controller. A single motor is what keeps it at 88 lbs and keeps the 60V 20Ah battery honest: Teewing rate the pair at 43.5 mph and 43.5 miles, and both figures suit a machine bought for a daily commute with the occasional weekend run rather than a power contest.

The signature

A touchscreen instead of a button cluster

The GT4 is the only machine in the Teewing range with a touchscreen. The display sits in a moulded cowl at the top of the stem and shows speed, battery level and driving mode, with the mode and headlight controls under your thumb on the glass rather than on a separate switch block. It reads cleanly in daylight, and it is the first thing people reach for when they see the GT4 in the shop.

The part that steadies a fast single-stem e-scooter

Teewing sell the GT4 with a steering damper fitted, a small hydraulic strut between the deck and the steering column. It resists the quick side-to-side movement that a light folding e-scooter can develop at speed over a ripple in the road, so the bars stay calm at 40 mph. It is the kind of part usually sold as an upgrade; here it comes on the machine.

How fast is the Teewing GT4?
It is capable of 43.5 mph. Teewing ship it electronically restricted to public-road speeds; the full performance is a rider-set mode for private property and off-road. The modes are set from the display; ask in the shop if you are unsure.
How far does it go on a charge?
Up to 43.5 miles from the 60V 20Ah battery, depending on rider weight, terrain, speed and mode.
How long does it take to charge?
Ten to twelve hours on the 67.2V 2A charger supplied.
What is the touchscreen for?
Speed, battery level and driving mode, with the mode and light controls on the glass. It is the only touchscreen in the Teewing range.
What does the steering damper do?
It is a small hydraulic strut between the deck and the steering column that resists quick side-to-side movement of the bars at speed. Teewing fit it as standard on the GT4 sold here.
Is it street legal?
E-scooter rules vary by state and city, and 43.5 mph is above public-road limits, which is why Teewing ship it restricted. Ride in the mode that matches your local rules and ask us if you are unsure.
How steep can it climb?
Teewing rate it for slopes up to 20 degrees.
What can it carry?
A 265 lb maximum load.
What brakes does it have?
Mechanical disc brakes front and rear.
What suspension does it have?
Spring shock absorbers at the front and rear.
Does it fold?
The stem folds down onto the deck, taking it from 1295 mm tall to 550 mm. The steel handlebar itself is fixed.
Can I ride it in the rain?
It is rated IPX4, which covers light rain and splashes. Never pressure-wash it, and never charge a machine that is wet or whose battery looks swollen or damaged; bring it straight in to us.
GT4 or X4?
The GT4 is a single-motor 88 lb commuter with a touchscreen and mechanical brakes. The X4 is a 100 lb dual-motor machine with hydraulic brakes, a seat and 62 miles. If your riding is mostly paved streets, the GT4 is the lighter, simpler choice.
What is in the box?
The GT4, a charger, a tool kit and the user manual. The steering damper is fitted.
