How fast is the Surron Light Bee X?

Surron rates it at 47 mph (75 km/h) in Sports mode. Eco mode softens the throttle and stretches the range, which suits newer riders. With 250 Nm at the wheel on a 123 lb machine, it is quick, but more forgiving to learn on than the full-size Ultra Bee.

How far does the Light Bee X go on a charge?

Up to 47 miles (75 km) at 25 mph (40 km/h), by Surron's test. Aggressive trail riding, hills, cold weather and a heavier rider all shorten it. The 11.6 kg battery comes out in about ten seconds, so you can carry it indoors to charge, and a full charge takes about 4 hours.

How much does the Surron Light Bee X weigh?

123 lb (56 kg) ready to ride, and 99 lb (45 kg) with the battery out. That is the number that makes the Light Bee X easy to live with: two people can lift it into a pickup, most adults can put a foot down from the 32.7-inch seat, and it is easier to pick up after a fall on the trail.

Which Light Bee X build is it?

Surron has built the Light Bee X in more than one version. Our product page and the spec table above describe the build Surron's US site lists today: 6,000W peak and 250 Nm at the wheel. Surron's 2025 Light Bee X manual describes a stronger motor, 8,000W peak and 4,000W rated, with 266 Nm. Both use the 60V 40Ah removable battery and are rated for about 47 mph. Ask us which build is in stock before you order.

Who is the Surron Light Bee X for?

  • A good fit if it is your first electric dirt bike, you need to load it into a pickup or van, you ride tight single-track, or you are shorter or lighter.
  • Look at the Ultra Bee instead if you weigh more than its 220 lb carrying capacity with gear, already ride off-road, or want full-size suspension, traction control and reverse. See Surron Light Bee X vs Ultra Bee and how much is a Surron Ultra Bee?

Is the Surron Light Bee X street legal?

In most places, not as delivered. We sell it as an off-road electric dirt bike, and it isn't an e-bike under New York or California law. New York State Police class electric dirt bikes as off-highway motorcycles, not legal on public roads unless fully registered, insured and street legal.

California treats them as off-highway motorcycles too, and since January 1, 2026 they need a Green Sticker to ride on public off-highway land. Other states set their own rules, so ask us about yours. Models over 20 mph aren't sold or shipped to New York City addresses. For New York, see where to ride electric dirt bikes in New York.
