The headlight switches on and off with the light around you and swaps between high and low beam with your speed. Segway rates the high beam at 14W and 246 ft of illumination, the low beam at 5W and 118 ft.

Segway GT3 Pro questions

How fast is the Segway GT3 Pro?

Up to approximately 50 mph (80 km/h) in Race mode with Ultra Boost. Riding modes are set in the Segway Mobility App, and we configure them for your roads at handover.

How far does it go on a charge?

Up to 86 miles in Eco at 15.5 mph, 45 in Sport and 34 in Race. Like a car, frequent stops, hard acceleration, hills, tire pressure and cold all reduce it.

How powerful is it?

Two hub motors rated at 1700W each with 3500W max each, for 7000W max. It climbs a 38 percent slope and goes from 0 to 30 mph in 3.9 seconds.

How long does it take to charge?

About 8 hours, give or take half an hour, with the 332W charger. The app lets you limit the charge level to extend battery life at the cost of some range.

Does it have ABS?

Yes. Segway's S-ABS pulses the hydraulic brakes up to 25 times per second so you stop without skidding.

What brakes does it have?

Hydraulic dual-piston calipers on 140 mm, 2.3 mm ventilated discs, front and rear.

Is the suspension adjustable?

The front hydraulic linkage has 15 stiffness levels; the rear is a hydraulic trailing arm. We set the front for your weight in the shop.

Is it waterproof?

The body is rated IPX6 and the battery pack IPX7. Ride it in the rain, but do not submerge it or pressure wash it, and never charge a wet or swollen battery. Bring it straight in instead.

How heavy is it, and who is it for?

About 117 lbs with a 330 lb payload. Segway recommends riders 18 to 60 between 5 ft 3 in and 6 ft 6 in. It folds, but plan for ground-floor storage.

Does the X on the front light up?

No. The X on the front of the GT3 and GT3 Pro is a design element and does not light up.

What is the difference between the GT3 and the GT3 Pro?

The GT3 is single-motor with a 31 mph top speed and up to 45 miles. The GT3 Pro is dual-motor, 50 mph, up to 86 miles, with a 2160 Wh 72V battery, S-ABS and the 15-level adjustable front suspension.

Does it work with Apple Find My?

Yes. Pair it through the Segway Mobility App and the GT3 Pro shows up in the Find My app on your iPhone.

What is Segway AirLock?
