Rated at 350W and peaking at 700W, the motor gets you to 18 mph and up grades of about 18%. At top speed, Segway rates the range at about 18 miles; at an easier pace it stretches to about 25.

10-inch self-sealing tubeless tires

The 58 mm wide tires carry a gel layer inside that seals small punctures, so a sharp piece of glass is far less likely to end the ride. Traction control trims motor power when the wheel starts to slip on wet or loose pavement.

Turn indicators front and rear

Built-in signals show drivers, cyclists and pedestrians which way you are going, day or night, without taking a hand off the bar to point.

How far does it go on a charge?

About 25 miles at an easy, steady pace and about 18 miles at top speed, per Segway's tests with a 165 lb rider. Rider weight, hills, wind and cold weather all bring that down.

What is the maximum rider weight?

265 lbs (120 kg). Segway recommends riders aged 16 and up, between 3 ft 11 in and 6 ft 6 in tall.

Does it have turn signals?

Yes. Turn indicators are built into the front and rear, so you can signal without taking a hand off the bar.

Is it waterproof?

It is rated IPX5 for rain and splashes. Do not ride through deep puddles, and never charge a wet or swollen battery. Bring it straight in instead.
