Segway Ninebot Max G2 questions

How fast is the Max G2?

Up to 22 mph (35 km/h). It ships from Segway at 20 mph, and the higher speed is enabled in the Segway-Ninebot app. We do it for you at handover.

How far does it go on a charge?

Up to 43 miles theoretical range in Eco from the 551 Wh battery, about 28 miles at 20 mph and about 25 miles at 22 mph. Hills, cold and rider weight reduce it.

What suspension does it have?

A front hydraulic damper and a rear double spring suspension. It is a big step up in comfort from the Max G30.

What is TCS?

Segway's Traction Control System, an industry first on an electric scooter. It manages wheel spin to improve grip on wet, slippery or loose surfaces. It ships off and is switched on in the app.

Does it work with Apple Find My?

Yes. The Max G2 was one of the first electric scooters with built-in Find My. Enable it in the Segway-Ninebot app and track it from your iPhone, iPad or Mac, even when it is powered off.

What brakes does it have?

A front drum brake and a rear electronic brake with regeneration that feeds energy back to the battery.

How long does it take to charge?

About 5 hours with the built-in charger, so one cable is all you carry.

Is it waterproof?

It is rated IPX5. Ride in the rain, but do not submerge it or pressure wash it, and never charge a wet or swollen battery. Bring it straight in instead.

Is it UL certified?

Yes. The Max G2 is UL 2272 certified for electrical safety and tested for vibration and drop resistance.

Does it have lights and turn signals?

Yes. An LED headlight, a rear brake light and integrated front and rear turn signals, plus a high-decibel horn.

How heavy is it, and who is it for?

About 53.5 lbs with a 265 lb payload. Segway recommends riders 16 and up between 3 ft 11 in and 6 ft 6 in.

What is the difference between the Max G2 and the Max G3?

The G3 doubles the power to 2000W, goes to 28 mph and 50 miles, adds disc brakes, hydraulic rear suspension and a TFT navigation display. The G2 is lighter on the wallet and still the most proven commuter Segway makes.

Can I test ride it first?

Yes. Come to any of our shops and stand on it next to the Max G3 before you decide.

Does it come with a warranty?
