We repair every Segway and Ninebot electric scooter at all of our shops, wherever you bought it: flat tires from $40, brakes from $25 and error code fixes from $35, parts and labor included. A simple inspection is always free, and express service runs at every shop. Below is what our technicians check on each part of a Segway, and what each repair starts at.
That covers the models we sell, from the E2 Pro and F3 to the Max G3 and GT3 Pro, and older Ninebot models we don't sell, like the Max G30 and the ES series. Ninebot is Segway's brand name for many of its electric scooters, so the same technicians and the same price list cover both names.

Why won't my Segway turn on or charge?
When a Segway comes in dead, our technicians work from the outside in: the charger first, then the charging port, then the pack voltage, then the power button and the wiring between the battery and the controller. We tell you which one is at fault, and the price, before any work starts.
- Charger replacement and charging port repair start from $35.
- A won't-turn-on fault, or the ignition and power button, starts from $35.
- If the battery itself is in question, a load test and health report is $50, waived if your repair quote is over $100.

What does a Segway error code mean?
Segway and Ninebot electric scooters show a numbered code on the dashboard when the controller detects a fault. The number points to a system, not to a part, so we read the code and then test what it points at: the throttle, the brake sensors, the motor's hall sensors and phase wires, the controller, the display or the battery's connection.
What each number means, code by code, is in our guide to Segway Ninebot error codes. Reading the code and telling you what we find is part of the free inspection. Fixing the fault behind it starts from $35, a controller from $35, a throttle from $50 and hall sensor or phase wire repair from $100.
Why are my Segway brakes weak or noisy?
Segway uses three kinds of brake, and each wears differently:
- Drum brake plus electronic rear brake on the E-series and the Max G2. The drum is sealed in the front hub; a lever that pulls further each week usually means a stretched cable or worn shoes.
- Disc brakes on the F3 (front), the Max G3, Max G3 Plus and ZT3 Pro (front and rear). We look at pad wear, rotor condition and caliper clearance.
- Hydraulic disc brakes with anti-lock on the GT3 Pro, where air in the line or low fluid gives a soft lever.
On every Segway, the electronic brake depends on a sensor in the lever that tells the controller to cut power. When it fails, the motor can keep pulling while you brake, or refuse to accelerate. Brake repair starts from $25, a brake cutoff switch from $35, a hydraulic bleed from $15 and a cable and lever from $75. See electric scooter brake repair.
Segway flat tires: what we fix
Most current Segway models ride on tubeless tires, and many have a self-sealing layer that closes small punctures on its own. When the cut is too big for the sealant, the tread is worn or the tire has come off the rim, it needs a repair or a new tire. We look at the tire, the rim and the valve together, because a slow leak can start at the valve or the bead as well as in the tread.
Tire and tube replacement starts from $65, a tubeless setup and sealant service from $30, and an airless, no-flat tire install from $40 if you would rather not deal with flats again. On models with an inner tube, a flat tire repair starts from $40. More in electric scooter tire repair.
Why does my Segway stem wobble or click?
The folding stem takes every pothole. A loose or worn folding latch, a headset that has worked loose, or a handlebar clamp that has slipped all show up as play in the bars. Folding hinge and latch repair starts from $30, headset and steering wobble from $50, and a stem and handlebar clamp from $20.
If the stem moves when it's locked, the brakes feel weak, or the battery looks swollen or has been wet, stop riding and bring it in. Never charge a wet or swollen battery.
Motor, water and crash damage
Segway electric scooters use hub motors. A grinding or clicking wheel, a motor that cuts out under load, or a stutter from a standstill sends us to the bearings, the hall sensors and the phase wires. Hub motor repair starts from $100; see electric scooter motor repair.
Water ratings differ by model: our product pages list IPX4 for the E2 Pro's body (IPX6 for its battery), IPX5 for the Max G2 and IPX6 for the F3. Rain is fine within the rating; a flooded street or a pressure washer is not. Water and salt damage repair starts from $50, crash damage from $30. Our guide to riding an electric scooter in the rain explains the ratings.
