A 350W hall brushless DC motor with 500W of peak power takes the S2 to 19 mph and handles 15% hill grades without drama. City slopes, bridge approaches and the last climb home are all in range.

Drive Mode holds 13 mph and stretches the battery. Sport Mode opens it up to the full 18.6 mph. Double-press the power button to switch: a red S on the display means Sport, a green S means Drive.

Hold the throttle steady for five seconds; after a beep, the S2 keeps its current speed and your thumb gets a rest. Three clicks turns cruise control on or off, or manage it in the app.

8.5-inch honeycomb tires

Solid, hollow run-flat tires that never puncture and never need air. Durability, puncture resistance and a smooth ride, without the maintenance of an inner tube.

Folds in three steps

Flip down the folding lever and the hook on the stem catches a latch on the rear wheel. At 35.5 lbs it goes up the stairs, under the desk or into the trunk.

Hiboy S2 questions

How fast does the Hiboy S2 go?

Up to 19 mph (18.6 mph in Sport Mode). Drive Mode holds about 13 mph for a more relaxed ride and better battery efficiency.

How far does it go on a charge?

Up to 17 miles on a full charge. Rider weight, speed, terrain, temperature and riding style all affect it, and Drive Mode on flat roads stretches it furthest.

How long does it take to charge?

About 3 to 5 hours with the included charger, so overnight or between rides.

Is the S2 good for commuting?

Yes. 19 mph, 17 miles, rear dual suspension and honeycomb tires, and it folds in three steps for the train, the office or the apartment.

Can it climb hills?

The 350W motor with 500W peak handles slopes of up to 15% under normal conditions. Rider weight, battery level and road surface change the result.

Does it have suspension?

Yes, dual rear shock absorbers that take the edge off cracks, seams and small bumps. Our technicians can adjust their tension for you in the shop.

Are the tires air-filled or solid?

8.5-inch honeycomb solid tires. They cannot puncture and never need inflating, and with the rear suspension the ride stays comfortable.

Is it waterproof?

It is rated IPX4, so light rain and splashes are fine. Do not ride through deep puddles or heavy rain, and never charge a wet or swollen battery. Bring it straight in instead.

What is the maximum rider weight?

220 lbs (100 kg). Staying under it keeps speed, range and braking where Hiboy rates them.

Is it safe to ride at night?

Yes. A triple lighting system with LED headlight, taillight and sidelights, plus electronic braking and a rear disc brake for reliable stops.

What can I do with the Hiboy app?

Lock and unlock the e-scooter, turn the lights on or off, switch between Drive and Sport, adjust speed and cruise control settings, and pair with one tap over Bluetooth.

Does it have cruise control?

Yes. Hold a constant throttle for about 5 seconds until it beeps and the S2 maintains that speed. It can be enabled or disabled in the app too.

Is the battery safe?

The 36V 7.5Ah lithium-ion battery is UL 2272 certified, the recognized electrical safety standard for e-mobility.

Can I test ride it first?

Yes. Come to any of our shops and stand on it next to the S2 Pro and S2 Nova before you decide.

Does it come with a warranty?

One year on the brands we carry, handled in our shops by our own technicians.
