The Segway MUXI Pro is a step-through cargo e-bike with a 750W direct-drive rear motor, 80 Nm of torque and a 9-speed drivetrain that shifts itself. A 717 Wh battery is rated for up to 73 miles, and the frame carries up to 418 lbs in total, with a rear rack rated for 121 lbs.

750W direct drive with traction control

The rear hub motor delivers up to 80 Nm and recovers energy when you brake. Traction control trims power when the rear wheel starts to slip, hill descent control holds a steady pace on the way down, and hill start assist keeps the e-bike from rolling back when you set off on a slope.

Electronic auto shifting

Speed, cadence and incline sensors pick the gear on the 9-speed drivetrain for you, so you start in an easy gear at every light and keep a comfortable cadence up hills. Casual, Standard and Sport shift modes are set in the Segway Mobility App.

A 418 lb total payload

A low twin-tube frame keeps the weight down where it is stable. The rear rack is rated for 121 lbs, and with the optional passenger kit it takes a second rider; an optional front basket adds room for up to 33 lbs of daily gear.

Segway MUXI Pro questions

How fast does the Segway MUXI Pro go?

It runs at 20 mph in Class 1 and Class 2, and up to 28 mph with pedal assist in Class 3 where local law allows it. In hybrid mode the throttle goes to 20 mph and pedal assist to 28 mph.

How far does it go on a charge?

Segway rates it for up to 73 miles from the 717 Wh battery. Assist level, rider and cargo weight, hills, wind and cold weather all bring that down.

How much can it carry?

418 lbs in total. The rear rack is rated for 121 lbs and the maximum rider weight is 265 lbs. With the optional passenger kit, the rack can take a second rider.

Do I have to change gears myself?

No. Electronic auto shifting reads speed, cadence and incline and picks the gear on the 9-speed drivetrain for you. You choose Casual, Standard or Sport shifting and your preferred cadence in the Segway Mobility App.

Is the battery UL-certified and waterproof?

Segway states UL certification for the battery, which is rated IPX7; the body is IPX5. Avoid deep water, and never charge a wet or swollen battery. Bring it straight in instead.
